Terms & Conditions of Use

Please read these terms carefully. By accessing or using Family Prep Plan, you agree to be bound by them.

Last updated: Oct 31, 2025

1) Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Family Prep Plan (“we,” “us,” “our”). By using our website, preview, or purchasing our digital guide (the “Services”), you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

2) Who may use the Services

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to purchase. If you use the Services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

3) Products & license

  • Digital product: Our main product is a personalized PDF emergency-preparedness guide.
  • License: Upon purchase, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the PDF for your single household only.
  • Restrictions: You may not resell, redistribute, sublicense, upload publicly, or make the PDF available to others outside your household. Printing for your household is allowed.
  • No professional advice: The content is for educational purposes only and is not medical, legal, or professional advice.

4) Ordering, pricing & taxes

  • Prices are shown at checkout and may change without notice before purchase.
  • You are responsible for any applicable taxes. Final tax amounts are displayed at checkout when applicable.
  • We may refuse or cancel an order if fraud is suspected or for other lawful reasons.

5) Payments & delivery

  • Processor: Payments are processed by Stripe. Card data is handled by Stripe and not stored on our servers.
  • Delivery: After payment, you receive an instant download link to the personalized PDF (and/or access via the confirmation page).
  • Chargebacks: If you have an issue, contact us first. Unauthorized chargebacks may result in license revocation.

6) Refunds

Family Prep Plan is a personalized digital product, so purchases are generally final once your PDF is delivered. That said, we offer a 7-day fair guarantee: if there’s a real issue on our side (access problem, corrupted file, or a generation error) and we can’t fix it, we’ll refund within 7 days. We also refund duplicate purchases. See our Refund Policy for full details.

7) Acceptable use

  • Do not misuse the site (e.g., attempt to access non-public areas, scrape, reverse engineer, or introduce malware).
  • Do not use the guide to provide paid or free distribution to third parties outside your household.
  • Follow local laws, safety rules, and official guidance from authorities at all times.

8) Intellectual property

The Services, including the PDF, text, design, graphics, and trademarks, are owned by or licensed to us and are protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited license above, you obtain no ownership rights.

9) Privacy

We process your information as described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Services, you consent to such processing.

10) Disclaimers

  • No warranty: The Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim all warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law.
  • Educational use only: Not medical or legal advice. Always follow instructions from local authorities and qualified professionals.
  • Availability: We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

11) Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall we be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, data, or use, arising out of or relating to your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the product giving rise to the claim.

12) Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of the Services, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

13) Third-party services & links

We may link to or integrate with third-party services (e.g., Stripe, analytics). We are not responsible for their content or practices. Your use of third-party services is governed by their terms and policies.

14) Governing law & venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Québec, Canada, without regard to conflict of law rules. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Montréal, Québec for any dispute arising out of or relating to the Terms or the Services.

15) Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Services after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

16) Severability & entire agreement

If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Services.
